Turkish Insurance Institute (TSEV) which maintains its work in international standards collaborates with qualified companies which are accepted throughout the world, organizes training programmes which are internationally recognized and gives certificates for its participants.

European Financial Certification Organisation
Since 2007, TSEV is the member of European Financial Certification Organisation which consists of insurance companies in European countries and aims to set a standard for vocational education in financial services industry.
TSEV is chosen as a member of “Committee of European Designation of Insurance Qualifications” and in this context TSEV shares its experiences with European Institutes.
In the context of IQ-COP which is the most important project of committee is determined standard and qualification in three different levels which are “European Insurance Broker”, “Underwriter” and “Injury Insurance Employees”.
TSEV is also a member of Eficert’s Underwriting Committee.

Institute for Global Insurance Education
Since 2007, TSEV is the member of Institute for Global Insurance Education which is established by The Chartered Insurance Institute, Canada Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) and American Institute for CPCU.
Basic functions of IGIE are development of insurance programs, increasing the education standard of insurance sector, determination of insurance business qualification and standard, encouragement of career development and determination of international vocational aptitude in insurance business.
In the scope of e-learning programs which are designed by IGIE members, TSEV brings into use “e-Life Insurance Training Programs” and “e-Global Risk Management, Insurance and Introduction to the Financial Services” to the Turkish Insurance Sector.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
TSEV who has observer status as member in OECD-INFE participates in studies which aim to increase the training standard and financial consciousness and insurance consciousness.

The Global Compact
In 2009, TSEV has signed the Global Compact which includes 10 basic principles that is suggested by United Nations to develop sustainable global economy and to manage the globalisation for protection of all humans’ interests

Human Rights
Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and
Principle 2: make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.
Labour
Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;
Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labour; and
Principle 6: the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.
Environment
Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
Principle 8: undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and
Principle 9: encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
Anti-Corruption
Principle 10: Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
Until now, this Global Compact which is signed by more than 4700 firms, local government and non-governmental organizations aims to create a shared platform and to popularise the responsible citizenship concept among countries, cultures and people; because of the increasing dependencies to the each other with the development of economy, trading and technology.

The Chartered Insurance Institute
TSEV is the member of the Chartered Insurance Institute which has 150 years of experiment in the field.
CII accredits the TSEV’s Basic Insurance Training Program. (“Certificate in Insurance”, “Diploma in Insurance”, “Advanced Diploma in Insurance”)
Apart from this, in 2010, TSEV became an exam center of CII exams to make easier the accreditation process of its’ graduates. In addition, TSEV as affiliated institute collaborates with CII. Members of CII consist of 61 local insurance institutes are located in England and 71 international insurance institutes.

Since 2007, CAS’s exams which have the global validity and gives the actuary title are arranging in TSEV.
